About Us
Discover the essence behind the Festival: a story spanning 40 editions, including 3 in Europe – transforming lives through chocolate and cocoa.
The Chocolat Festival was born in 2009 in Ilhéus, Bahia, Brazil. Since then, it has become the largest event in Latin America dedicated to cocoa and chocolate, with 40 editions and over 1.5 million visitors across various cities in Brazil and Porto, Portugal.
Since 2020, Porto has been home to one of the largest chocolate and cocoa museums in the world, The Chocolate Story. This museum serves as a pedagogical and academic reference in the field, providing visitors with a magical experience through its chocolate factory located inside.
Chocolat Portugal aims to establish direct contact between all elements of the production chain and the final consumer. We want to highlight the people involved in this chain, expanding knowledge about cocoa-derived products and promoting industry, agribusiness, tourism, and gastronomy. Our mission is to transform Porto into an international center for cocoa and chocolate.
Chocolate is a product that delights people of all ages, and without cocoa, there is no chocolate. At Chocolat Portugal, cocoa and chocolate producers come together to promote their products and strengthen symbiotic relationships within the sector. This event offers the final consumer the opportunity to meet the creators of these delicious products directly.
Chocolat Portugal is a unique meeting point for the worlds of cocoa and chocolate, held in the Cultural District of Porto – WoW. Visitors have access to a wide and varied range of products and unique experiences, as well as interactions with the people involved in the chocolate production chain.
Chocolate is deeply rooted in our memories and special moments. From birthday celebrations to romantic encounters and family gatherings, chocolate is a symbol of joy and indulgence.
In the end, chocolate is all about cocoa. Come discover, taste, and be enchanted at the Chocolat Festival!
